A small world should stay private.

Pebworld does not require an account, does not show ads, does not use tracking or third-party analytics, and does not sell personal data. Your Peb's world lives on your device. If you turn on iCloud sync, your data goes to your own iCloud — not to us. If you choose to use Postcards, the postcard and trinket you send are shared with the friend whose Peb address you exchanged, so they can reach their Peb.

Pebworld is made by Simply Games, a brand of Violet Rome, LLC. This policy covers the Pebworld app for iPhone, iPad, and Apple Watch, and the Pebworld website at pebworld.net. Because Pebworld is built differently from most apps — no accounts, no ads, and on-device AI — it has its own privacy policy rather than a general company one.

Everything about your Peb — its name, memories, rituals, journal, and preferences — is stored locally on your device. Optional iCloud sync and Postcards involve sharing data beyond that device, as described below.

Postcards. Postcards are optional. If you exchange a Peb address with a friend and your Peb sends a postcard, that postcard and its trinket are delivered so your friend's Peb can receive it and reply. Only share your Peb address with people you want your Peb to hear from.

If you enable iCloud sync, your Peb's data is stored in your personal iCloud account so it can move between your devices. That data is governed by Apple's iCloud terms and remains under your control; we never receive a copy.

Pebworld is free, with no subscriptions and no in-app purchases. We do not receive your name, payment details, or Apple ID.

Your Peb's dialogue and personality may be varied using Apple's on-device language models. That processing happens entirely on your device — your conversations and your Peb's memories are not sent to external AI services for processing.

If you turn on notifications, they come from the app on your device. We do not run a server that sends you push messages, and notification settings stay on your device.

The app contains no advertising and no analytics SDKs.

You can browse pebworld.net without creating an account, and we do not use tracking cookies or analytics trackers.

Community gallery. If you choose to share a photo of your Peb in the gallery, we collect what you submit: the photo, its original filename, and an optional display name and caption. To help keep the gallery safe, each uploaded image is automatically screened by an AI image-safety service before a human reviews it; the image is sent solely for that safety check and is not used to identify you. Submissions are reviewed before appearing publicly; once approved, they are visible to anyone who visits the site, so please don't include personal information in them. To prevent spam and abuse, we store a one-way hashed (irreversible) identifier derived from the submitting connection's IP address; we do not store the IP address itself.

Cookies. The site sets no cookies for visitors. A secure, HTTP-only session cookie is used only when a site moderator signs in to review gallery submissions.

App Store rating. The star rating shown on the site is fetched by our server from Apple's public App Store data. No information about you is involved.

Like nearly every website, our infrastructure may keep short-lived technical logs (such as request paths and error reports) to keep the site running and secure.

Pebworld is cozy, but the website's gallery is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has submitted personal information to the gallery, contact us and we will remove it.

If you shared a photo in the gallery and want it taken down, reach out through the support page and we will remove it.

If Pebworld ever changes in a way that affects your privacy, we will update this page and change the effective date above. We will not quietly start collecting data that this policy says we don't.
